Since her Venice, Italy appearances, online sources have reportedly spotted Natalie back in the States, so unfortunatelu I think this is all the new festival footage we’ll be receiving. However, many new medium- and hi-res photos of Natalie’s various 65th Venice Film Festival event apperarances have been to the gallery which I hope you’ll enjoy. Fingers crossed she’ll be making an appearance in Canada at the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival to promote New York, I Love You these coming days!
What did you think of Natalie’s Venice Film Festival appearances? Personally, while I wasn’t too fond of the ‘Birdwatchers premiere dress (which in many ways is reminiscent of her ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’ Berlinale premiere dress — same label, perhaps?), Natalie seems to be able to pull off just about any look. Her cute ‘Eve’ photocall look, however, ranks above all else in my book.
Updated Photo Albums:
• 65th Venice Film Festival ‘Birdwatchers’ Premiere on Sep 1
• 65th Venice Film Festival ‘Eve’ Photocall on Sep 2
• 65th Venice Film Festival ‘Eve’ Screening on Sep 1

Hi!
As promised I was at the Venice Film Festival!!! I saw Natalie and I saw her first short movie. I want to say something…
Natalie Portman, with Scarlett Johansson, is my favorite actress but at this Venice Film Festival she disappointed me a little… She was very very receding and not very kind with all the fans that waiting for her for much time. For example, near the place where there are the press conference usually tha fans ot the stars try to take photos or to have autographs from the stars. This year I went in that place many times and all the stars were very cute. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron, Tilda Swinson, Anne Hathaway, even Hayao Myazaki were very kind with the fans. All the stars, but Natalie not. Natalie walked very very quickly and just said e little hello to fans that were calling her name. I made two little videos about it. I’m very very sad to see her so indifferent with her fans. Also because in that place we were in ten person maximum. I hope that she’s so indifferent only because she’s shy….. i hope so!
I see her inside the cinema when she presented Eve. I’ve made a little video about it and I’ll send you if you want! She was very vety nice in her casual look!!! she looked great! Eve is a very nice short movie with a wonderful Lauren Bacall. He’s e little sad coz is a reflection on the old age. I have to point out the fact that in 3 shot u can see the microphone!!! in spit of this it’s a very nice short movie.
then i see her for the third time for the premiere of birdwatching. I didn’t Know that she was at that premiere and when I saw her I could’nt take many photos! ‘ll send you some of these in the nextd days.
So i’m a little sad, I wanted good photos about her and i Could’nt take, I wanted to say hello to her but she was impossibile…aqnd the autograph… remains a dream! I hope to see her again and I hope she was a little more kind with us…. :-(

Ohh Luca, you lucky sucker! :D You got to see all the good ones! I would love to see all the footage you got!
I’ve heard this about Natalie before, that she’s not very welcoming to her fans. I wish she was, because many of us are decent people and only wish her the best. I think she got turned off by the whole fan-aspect of being a celebrity with the rather unfortunate and uncalled for “fan” feedback she got for The Professional in 1994, and it’s rarely that I see her that comfortable being photographed either, be it an “official” event or not, even though she always puts on a nice smile for event photogs. I guess it’s a part of her being the private person she is and not wanting too much to do with the general negative aspects of being a celeb. :/

Yes I think that she’s very shy and not confortable with all the “celebrities things” but at the same time I’m very sad because I wanted to take some good pictures of her and instead…. :-( ant ot many fans she seems not very kind…..it’s sad thinking this because i nkow that she’s very cute| ;-)
However I’ll send You the few photos and videos that I have!
